What's New in JustFood 2017 Feature Pack 1 (10.00.01.00)

These Release Notes explain the JustFood fixes and new functions that are in this release.

Some of the new functions have a short video clip demonstrating the changes. Look for the icon. A single video has also been created, which includes all of the video clips in a single video file: Release Video.

This release was tested on a JustFood environment that had Microsoft Dynamics NAV cumulative update 7.

Interfaces

Video

The interfaces of some windows were updated to provide cleaner looking ribbons, and to show commonly used fields.

The following changes were made:

The Bin Code field was made visible by default on the Item Journal, Output Journal, Consumption Journal and Production Journal.
The New Location Code, Bin Code and New Bin Code fields were made visible by default on the Item Reclass. Journal.
The Bin Code and Lot No. fields were made visible by default on the Phys. Inventory Journal, Pick/Put-Away Lines and Warehouse Movement Lines windows.
On the Sales Order window, the ribbon was simplified by moving some actions to the Home tab. When selecting the Whse. Shipment action, if there is only 1 warehouse shipment associated with the order, the Warehouse Shipment window is opened directly instead of the Whse. Shipment Lines window.
On the Warehouse Shipment window, the ribbon was simplified by moving some actions to the Home tab. When selecting the Pick action, if there is only 1 pick associated with the shipment, the Pick window is opened directly instead of the Pick Lines window.
On the Pick window, all of the actions were moved to the Home tab, and the other tabs were removed.
On the Item Tracking Lines window, all of the actions were moved to the Home tab.
On the Purchase Order window, the ribbon was simplified by moving some actions to the Home tab. When selecting the Whse. Receipt action, if there is only 1 warehouse receipt associated with the order, the Warehouse Receipt window is opened directly instead of the Whse. Receipt Lines window.
On the Warehouse Receipt and Transfer Order windows, the ribbon was simplified by moving some actions to the Home tab.

Warehouse and Inventory

Planning vs Sales History

The following fields were added to the Planning vs Sales History window. The fields are hidden by default.

Planning Worksheet

The Process Items Containing the Following Component, and Skip Safety Stock Exception for Fixed Re-Order Qty. fields were added to the Calculate Plan window, which is opened from a Calculate Plan action on the Planning Worksheet window.

Shipping Weight Logistics

Video

You can now select Shipping as the weight type when doing logistics planning. The shipping weight is gross weight plus the pallet weight.

To set the Weight Type to Shipping:

The following weights need to be defined in order for the shipping weight to include pallets:

A pallet UOM and weight are defined on the JustFood Setup window.
A pallet is defined for an item's UOM.
Item's gross weight

Open the Logistics Planning Setup window.
On the Rules FastTab, in the Weight Type to Use field, select Shipping. When planning logistics, the weight will be the gross weight of the items plus the weight of the pallet.

The following changes were made:

The Shipping option was added to the Weight Type to Use field on the Logistics Planning Setup window.
The Shipping option was added to the Weight Type field on the Logistics Run Worksheet window.
The Shipping option was added to the Weight Type field on the Posted Logistics Run Worksheet window.

If the Item Unit of Measure value is changed, the Bin Content record does not update. If a pick is generated, it uses the Qty. per UOM value from the Bin Content record, and therefore value of 'Qty. (Base)' is incorrect. This has been fixed.
