Open the Production Forecast window.
Specifies a production forecast for your sales items, components, or both. In the top of the window, you select the type of forecast you want to make and the time period the forecast will cover.
If Location is mandatory on the Inventory Setup, then a value must be entered in the Location Filter field.
The Entry Type Filter field allows you to filter on the type of production forecast entry that is displayed. You can choose the following options:
- All: Include all entry types.
- Sales History: Include entries from when the production forecast was calculated using sales history.
- Component History: Include entries from when the production forecast was calculated using component history.
- Manual: Include entries that manually entered on the Production Forecast window.
Once you've defined the forecast that you want to make, you can then manually enter the forecasted quantities in the cells, or you can use the Import History action to import entries based on sales or component history using the Create Production Forecast report. Note: You cannot use this action if the Forecast Type is Both.
You can also copy an existing production forecast, and make modifications as necessary.
