This section explains the new functions related to the JustFoodERP applications.

Some of the new functions have a short video clip demonstrating the changes. Look for the icon. A single video has also been created, which includes all of the video clips in a single video file: JustFoodERP 2015 FP2 Release Video.

Commerce

The Accounts Receivable History page was updated.

Floor

Assigned Users

Picks are now automatically assigned to the user who opened the pick from Floor if the Assigned User field was blank.

The following changes were made to the Picks screens:

  • Assigned User: User who opened the pick. The field is only updated if it was blank when the pick was opened.

  • Assigned Date: Date the user was assigned.

  • Assigned Time: Time the user was assigned.

  • Unassign button: Click to unassign a pick. You can only unassign picks that have been assigned to you.

To assign a user to a pick:

  1. Log in to Floor.

  2. Select the company and tap Go.

  3. Tap Shipping.

  4. Tap Whse. Pick. The Picks screen opens with the results filtered to the assigned user.

  5. Clear the Assigned UserID field, and tap Search. All of the picks are returned.

  6. Select a pick that doesn't have an assigned user.

  7. Tap Open. The pick opens and has now been assigned to the user who opened it.

To unassign a user from a pick:

  1. Log in to Floor.

  2. Select the company and tap Go.

  3. Tap Shipping.

  4. Tap Whse. Pick. The Picks screen opens with the results filtered to the assigned user.

  5. Select the pick from which you want to unassign the user. Note: You can only unassign picks that have been assigned to you.

  6. Tap Unassign.

Containers: Receiving

Floor was changed so that you can now receive directly into containers.

The following changes were made for this function

  • Auto-Open Build Container on Receipt check box was added to the Floor Setup window, which allows you to define if you want to allow receiving in to containers, and to automatically open the Build Container screen when a receipt is posted.

  • Default Create Containers on Receipt check box was added to the Floor Setup window, which allows you to define if Yes is automatically selected for the Create Containers field on the Whse. Receipt Entry screen.

  • The Create Containers field was added to the Whse. Receipt Entry screen, which indicates if the items should be received in to containers. This field is only displayed if it's set to show in the Floor interface, and the Auto-Open Build Container on Receipt check box is selected in JustFoodERP.

  • The Container Build from Rcpt screen was added to Floor, which allows you to select which receipt lines you want to receive in to containers, and then build those containers.

To set up JustFoodERP in order to receive in to containers in Floor:

  1. Set up JustFoodERP so that the Create Containers field is displayed on the Floor Whse. Receipt Entry screen.

    1. Open the Interfaces window.

    2. Select WHRCPT_LINE, and click Edit.

    3. Select the Show check box for the Create Containers line.

    4. Click OK.

      Note: You will need to initialize the interfaces from JustFoodERP, and load the interfaces from Floor in order for the field to be displayed.

  2. Set up JustFoodERP to allow containers to be received in Floor.

    1. Open the Floor Setup window.

    2. Select the Auto-Open Build Container on Receipt check box.

    3. If you want the Create Containers field in Floor to have a default value of Yes, then select the Default Create Containers on Receipt check box.

    4. Click Initialize Interfaces.

    5. Leave both check boxes blank.

    6. Click OK.

    7. Click OK to close the Floor Setup window.

  3. Reload the interfaces in Floor.

    1. Open Floor.

    2. Click the Help icon.

    3. Click Reload Menus and Interfaces.

To receive in to containers (via warehouse receipts):

  1. Log in to Floor.

  2. Select the company and tap Go.

  3. Tap Receiving.

  4. Enter a warehouse receipt number in the Wh. Rcpt. No. field, and tap Enter. The Warehouse Receipts screen opens.

  5. Tap Open. The Warehouse Receipts Lines screen opens.

  6. Tap the line you want to receive. The Whse. Receipt Entry window opens.

  7. Enter the necessary information.

  8. Select Yes for the Create Containers field.

  9. Tap Send if a lot number needs to be generated.

  10. Tap Post. The Create Containers screen opens if the warehouse receipt had 1 line. The Container Build From Rcpt screen opens if the warehouse receipt had multiple lines.

  11. If the Container Build from Rcpt screen opened, select the line you want to move to a container, and tap Split. The Create Containers screen opens.

  12. Enter the number of items you want to put into the container in the Qty Per Container field.

  13. Enter the number of containers in the No. of Containers field.

  14. Tap Create. You receive a message that a container has been created.

Floor: Receiving in to Containers

Containers: Remove Items from Containers

Items can now be removed from containers.

The following changes were made for this function:

  • On the Container Build To screen, the To Container No. field was changed so it can have a blank value. When the field is blank, it means that the item will be removed from the container.

To remove an item from a container:

  1. Log in to Floor.

  2. Select the company and tap Go.

  3. Tap Container Mgmt.

  4. Tap Build.

  5. Enter the filter parameters and tap Search. The matching records are listed.

  6. Select a line.

  7. Tab Move to.

  8. Leave the To Container No. field blank.

  9. Enter any other necessary information to post.

  10. Tab Build. The item is removed from the container.

Floor: Remove Items from Containers

Country of Origin

You can now enter a country of origin for item lines when receiving warehouse receipts.

The following changes were made for this function:

  • Whse. Receipt Entry screen: The Country of Origin field was added. The field is only visible if the Enable Country of Origin Tracking field is selected on the Item Tracking Code Card window.

    You can click the arrow to show the available countries of origin, and then select one or more records to be associated with the item. The Country of Origin list only shows records where Use in Floor has been selected on the Countries/Regions or States of Origin window. Once the line is posted from Floor, the country of origin value is passed back to the related item tracking entry on the warehouse receipt in JustFoodERP.  Note: You cannot change the country of origin from Floor if a lot number is assigned.

  • The Use in Floor field was added to the Countries/Regions window, which allows you to specify the countries/regions that can be selected as the Country of Origin when receiving items from the Floor

  • The Use in Floor field was added to the States of Origin window, which allows you to specify the states that can be selected as the Country of Origin when receiving items from the Floor. In order for a country/state region combination to be available from Floor, you also need to select Use in Floor for the corresponding country on the Countries/Regions window.

To be able to use the Country of Origin field in Floor:

  1. Select the Enable Country of Origin Tracking check box on the Item Tracking Code Card window for the appropriate item tracking codes.

  2. Select the Use in Floor field on the Countries/Regions window for all of the countries/regions you want to be available from Floor.

    Note: For any countries/regions that you selected, you need to select Use in Floor for the corresponding country on the Countries/Regions window

  3. Select the Use in Floor field on the States of Origin window for all of the countries/regions you want to be available from Floor.

Labels

When printing labels from Floor, the application no longer looks at the LabelReportID setting in the web.config file. Labels are now printed using the Inventory Label report (23019508). The application looks at the new Label Report Config. Setup window to see which report layout to use when printing the label. Printing labels occurs from the Whse. Receipt Entry screen>Send>Print, and from the Output screen>Post (when a printer is selected).

The following changes were made for this function:

  • The <add key="LabelReportID" value="23019453"/> setting was removed from the web.config file. Now the label report prints the Inventory Label report (23019508).

To set this up for Floor, perform the following steps: 

  1. Create a custom Word layout report for the Inventory label (23019508) if it doesn't already exist.

  2. Select the layouts that you want to print for the Inventory Label report (23019508).

Picks: Auto-Pick Supports Break Bulk

The Auto-pick mode was changed to support break bulk when picking for a warehouse shipment. Auto-pick is when the Whse. Shipment Pick Creation check box is NOT selected on the JustFoodERP Floor Setup window, and it means that the pick assumes the default bin and the quantity is automatically registered. Break bulk allows you to break a bulk item into the required units, and then move the required amount.

Quality Audits: Pre-Receive

Users can now create a Pre-Receive quality audit while receiving in Floor. A Pre-Receive quality audit can be created for a purchase order or a warehouse receipt.

The following changes were made:

  • Warehouse Receipt screen: The QA button was added. When the button is clicked it takes you to the Quality Audits screen. From that screen, you can see the quality audits that are linked to that warehouse receipt, and you can create Pre-Receive or Shipping Agent quality audits. 

  • Quality Audits screen: The Pre-Rcv button was added, which allows you to create a pre-receive quality audit. In order for a pre-receive quality audit to be created, a pre-receive quality procedure needs to have been assigned to an item on the purchase order or warehouse receipt.

Floor: Pre-Receive Quality Audits

Quality Audits: Shipping

Users can now create a Shipping Agent quality audit while receiving and shipping in Floor. A Shipping Agent quality audit can be created for a purchase order, warehouse receipt and warehouse shipment.

The following changes were made:

  • Warehouse Shipments screen: The QA button was added. When the button is clicked it takes you to the Quality Audits screen. From that screen, you can see the quality audits that are linked to that warehouse receipt, and can create Shipping Agent quality audits.  

  • Quality Audits screen: The S. Agent button was added, which allows you to create a Shipping Agent quality audit. In order for a Shipping Agent quality audit to be created, a Shipping Agent quality procedure needs to have been assigned to a shipping agent, and the shipping agent needs to be associated with the purchase order, warehouse receipt or warehouse shipment.

Variant Code

The Variant field was added to the following screens:

  • Item Bin Contents (BINCONTENT_LIST)
  • Bin Contents (BINCONTENTS)
  • Consumption Journal (CONS_LINE)
  • Container Consumption (CONT_CONS_LINE)
  • Inv. Reclass. Entry (RECLASS_LINE)
  • Inv. Reclass. Entry (Det) (RECLASSDET_LINE)
  • Output Journal (OUTPUT_LINE)
  • Pick Entry (CONTAINER_PICK_LINE)

The Variant is hidden by default.

To show the field in Floor:

  1. Set up JustFoodERP so that the Variant field is displayed.

    1. Open the Interfaces window.

    2. Select one of the following lines, and click Edit.

      • BINCONTENT_LIST
      • BINCONTENTS
      • CONS_LINE
      • CONT_CONS_LINE
      • RECLASS_LINE
      • RECLASSDET_LINE
      • OUTPUT_LINE
      • CONTAINER_PICK_LINE

    3. Select the Show check box for the Variant line.

    4. Click OK.

      Note: You will need to initialize the interfaces from JustFoodERP, and load the interfaces from Floor in order for the field to be displayed.

  2. Initialize the interfaces.

    1. Open the Floor Setup window.

    2. Click Initialize Interfaces.

    3. Leave both check boxes blank.

    4. Click OK.

    5. Click OK to close the Floor Setup window.

  3. Reload the interfaces in Floor.

    1. Open Floor.

    2. Click the Help icon.

    3. Click Reload Menus and Interfaces.

Miscellaneous

  • Warehouse Shipment Lines screen: The Def. Pick Bin field was added to the screen, which allows the user to know the default bin to pick from.

  • Cloud printing was changed to improve security and performance.

Plant

Consumption: Clear Quantity on Post

Plant was updated so that you can choose to clear the Quantity field when consumption is posted from the Consumption screen.

The following changes were made:

  • The Clear Quantity on Post check box was added to the Consumption Options screen.

To set the consumption quantity to clear:

  1. From the Plant Home page, click the Plant tab.

  2. Click Options.

  3. Click Consumption.

  4. Select the Clear Quantity on Post check box.

  5. Click OK.

Labels

Labels printed from the Material Output screen now use the new Inventory Label report (23019508). The application looks at the new Label Report Config. Setup window to see which report layout to use when printing the label. When output is posted, Plant will print the appropriate label.

To set up labels to print when posting output:

  1. Define the report buffer path, which is the temporary location where the label files are stored.

    Note: Ensure the path exists on your machine.

  2. Configure devices to print when posting from Plant.

    1. Open the JustFoodERP Plant Device Groups window.

    2. Select the device group that you want to print when posting output.

    3. Click Configuration. The Plant Device Configuration window opens.

    4. On the Material Output FastTab, select Post & Print for the Post Action field.

    5. Click OK.

  3. Create a custom Word layout report for the Inventory label (23019508) if it doesn't already exist.

  4. Select the layouts that you want to print for the Inventory Label report (23019508).

Scheduler

The Monthly view on the calendar was changed to show 5 weeks instead of 6.  This allows more information to be shown.
