A Scheduler view is used to determine which work/machine centers are available from the Scheduler application.

Scheduler views are related to locations, which means that the production orders on a Scheduler view are limited to a single location. If you have different locations, it is recommended that you make separate work centers and machine centers for each location, which will allow you to set up Scheduler views for the different locations. You will not be able to combine centers from different locations in one Scheduler view.

To create a Scheduler view

  1. Open the Scheduler Views window.

    Navigate to /Departments/Administration/Application Setup/Scheduler/Scheduler Views.

  2. Click New.

  3. In the Code field, enter the code of the Scheduler view.

  4. In the Description field, enter a description of the view. This description appears in the Scheduler

Note: You must enter a description if you want the view to appear in the Scheduler.

  5. In the Location Code field, select the location that the view will apply to. Only production orders related to that location will be displayed when this view is selected in the Scheduler.

  6. Add the work centers or machine centers that will appear in the Scheduler.

Note: Add the centers in the order that you want them to appear in the Scheduler.

    1. In the Type field, select Work Center or Machine Center.

    2. In the No. field, select the center that will appear in the Scheduler.

Note: The center that you select must either have a blank location or the same location as the Location Code field in the General FastTab. A work center’s location is on the Warehouse FastTab of the Work Center Card window. Machine centers inherit the location of the associated work center.

    3. Repeat steps a. and b. for any other centers that you want to add.

  7. Click OK.

Note: When a new Scheduler view is created, you need to close and reopen the Scheduler in order for the new view to be available.
