You can print a test report before you post a general journal. The test report displays all the journal lines and messages about any errors or lack of information that you must correct before posting.
To print a test report before posting
Fill in a general journal.
On the Actions tab, in the Posting group, choose Test Report to see a test report of the journal lines.

| You do not have to print a test report. But if you post immediately and there are several errors to be corrected, you will receive messages about them one at a time as the journal lines are checked before posting. |
