You set up default Tax product posting groups by linking them to general product posting groups. The relevant code is automatically inserted as the Tax product posting group when you enter the relevant product posting group code. Before you can do this, you must set up Tax product posting groups.
To set up default Tax product posting groups
In the Search box, enter Gen. Product Posting Groups, and then choose the related link.
In the Gen. Product Posting Groups window, select the relevant code in the Def. Tax Prod. Posting Group field.
Select the Auto Insert Default check box.
If it is not relevant or you do not want to use this feature for either individual or all general product posting group codes, leave the two fields blank. Then you must manually assign Tax product posting groups to items.
