Usage or consumption for a particular job can be posted in a job journal. Each entry on a job journal line must be related to a job. Use this procedure when the item is available and ready.
To record job usage
- In the Search box, enter Job Journals, and then choose the related link. 
- Fill in the Posting Date, Document No. and Job No. fields for the journal line. 
- In the Job Task No. field, choose the job task number that the usage relates to. 
- Fill in the Type and No. of the journal line. Select Item as the Type option. 
- On the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Post to post the job journal.
