You can create production orders from sales orders in the Sales & Marketing department.
To create a production order from a sales order
In the Search box, enter Sales Orders, and then choose the related link.
Select the sales order you want to create a production order for.
On the Actions tab, in the Functions group, choose Planning. In the Sales Order Planning window, you can view the availability of the sales order item.
On the Actions tab, in the Functions group, choose Create Prod. Order.
Select the status and order type.
Choose the Yes button to create the production order.
