Importing and Exporting Data

In earlier versions of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, you could move or copy all or part of the data in a database by using the Microsoft Dynamics NAV backup functionality. In Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2, the support for the .fbk files was removed.

Cumulative Update 8 has added the ability to export and import data from the NAV Windows client. For more information, see Import Data and Export Data.

The Data Dictionary Generator function was added. It builds an XML file that lists tables and fields, and how they are related to one another.

• Reorganized the Table of Contents, and listed information based on function.
• Created an Applications entry in the Table of Contents, which lists the different JustFoodERP applications.
• Added information about the Floor application.
• Added information about the Scheduler application.

Note: The RapidStart function is typically used by the JustFoodERP Implementation Services team when setting up a new company.

 Copy Company Data

 The following changes were made to the Copy Company Data window:

• The Delete Data From Table in CFG. Wksht. function was added. This function deletes the data from all of the tables that are listed in the Configuration Worksheet window. When copying data, table data will not be copied from the source company to the destination company if the destination table has data.
• The Turn On Skip Insert Trigger function was added. This function selects all of the Skip Table Insert Trigger check boxes. This allows tables with errors to be copied. Note: This option will copy the data but you will now have invalid data in the destination table, which should still be corrected.
• The Turn Off Skip Insert Trigger function was added. This function clears all of the Skip Table Insert Trigger check boxes.
• When copying or deleting the data, the function commits table by table, which means the function will not roll back the changes when an error is found.
• Added progress indicators to the Delete Data and Copy Data functions.

Certificate of Analysis Report

The Certificate of Analysis report (23019006) was created. The report lists the audit results for an item.

Shop Floor

The Shop Floor role center was added, which provides an interface where a user can see upcoming tasks, and all of the related information such as comments, links, and components to be used. The role center can be used in environments where production orders are routed through work centers.

Bracket Pricing

On the Sales & Receivables Setup and Purchases & Payables Setup windows, the following changes were made:

•  The Bracket Pricing Feedback field was renamed Bracket Pricing.
• The options in the Bracket Pricing field were changed as follows:
  • None was changed to Disabled.
  • Message was changed to Message (No Update)
  • Message+Update was changed to Message + Update
  • The Update (No Message) option was added

Contact Card

The functionality from the Detailed Contact Card window was deleted, and moved to the Contact Card window.

The following pages were deleted:

The following changes were made to the Contact Card window:

• The Extension No. and Job Title field was added to the Communication FastTab.

New windows were added to support the new JustFoodERP Scheduler application, which is a graphical calendar that allows you to see all of your machines on the shop floor, and can help you make faster decisions about production.

39036	Reporting	PAG 23019553 REP 23019517	The Detailed Calculation Report (23019517) will now give an error if a value of 1 through to 6 is not entered in one of the Cost fields.
39054	Floor	ContainerBuildFrom.aspx.cs	In Floor, after posting a Container Movement and clicking Back, users would receive an inventory warning message on the Container Move From page. This message no longer appears. When clearing a Container No. (setting it to BLANK) on the Container Move From page, the Location, Bin, and Item fields were not becoming editable. This has been fixed.
39059	Ingredient and Nutrients	COD 23019510 PAG 23019514	On the Item Ingredient Decl. window, the ingredient calculation was not updating the Calc. Quantity and Make Up % fields. The Calculated field was removed to fix this issue.
39113	Warehouse and Inventory	COD 7307	An error was occurring when attempting to post a shipment where breakbulk lines had been placed into shipping containers. This has been fixed by ensuring breakbulk lines are not allowed to be placed in shipping containers.
39148	Floor	OutputJournal.aspx.cs	In Floor, when the Do Not Allow Qty. greater than Std. Rep Qty. on Output Journal check box is selected on the NAV Floor Setup window, posting an output from Floor would fail with a connection attempt failure message. This has been fixed.
39161	Warehouse and Inventory	COD 23019216	An "Overflow under conversion" error was received when trying to post a sales order with an item in a container. This issue was fixed.
39187	RapidStart	COD 2 TAB 8613	The OPENING INVENTORY configuration package was created.When a new company is added, the OPENING INVENTORY package is available from the Configuration Packages window.

Inventory Entry (Det) screen:  Cleaned up spacing for whenever multiple error messages are raised.  Cleaned up punctuation of the result message when deleting a line.  Removed the "No Journal Lines found!" warning that appeared when the user deleted the only line.
