How to: Assign a Property Code to a Quality Measure Code

In order to assign a property code to a quality measure code, the following must be in place:

To assign a property code to a quality measure code

Open the Quality Measure Codes window.

Navigate to Departments/Manufacturing/Quality/Setup/Quality Measure Codes.
Select (or create) a quality measure code.
Select a value in the Property Code field.
You can only choose property codes that have the same value type as the quality measure code.
If the Value Type field is Code, then click Quality Measure Code Values, and add quality measure code values that match the values for the selected property code.
Click OK.

When a quality audit is posted for an item with a lot number, the item’s lot property value will be updated with the result of the quality audit if the item’s lot property matches the quality audit’s associated quality measure property code.

For example, Item A’s lot number has a property code of GRADE, and the QM1 quality measure code has a property code of GRADE. When Item A is received, a quality audit with the QM1 code will be run. If the result value of the quality audit is GRADE A, when the quality audit is posted, the GRADE property value for Item A’s lot number will be updated to GRADE A.
