How to: Set up BuildFood-Recipes

To add users to BuildFood-Recipes permission sets

In order for users to be able to view and/or edit ingredients and recipes, you need to add users to the BuildFood-Recipes permission sets.

Note: In order to add users to a permission set, you need to have the appropriate permissions.

1.      In the top right corner, choose the Search for Page or Report icon, enter user groups, and then choose the related link.

2.      To give users permission to edit records in BuildFood-Recipes,

a.      Select the BF-RECIPE-EDIT line.

b.     Choose the User Group Members actions.

c.      On the User Group Members window, choose Add Users.

d.     Choose the More button, and select Select More.

e.     Select the users that you want to add to the group.

f.       Choose OK.

g.      Close the User Group Members window.

3.      To give users permission to view records in BuildFood-Recipes,

a.      Select the BF-RECIPE-VIEW line.

b.     Choose the User Group Members actions.

c.      On the User Group Members window, choose Add Users.

d.     Choose the More button, and select Select More.

e.     Select the users that you want to add to the group.

f.       Choose OK.

To set up recipes

You need to define the settings that enable you to use BuildFood-Recipes.

1.      In the top right corner, choose the Search for Page or Report icon, enter recipe setup, and then choose the related link.

2.      In the Recipe Setup window, on the General FastTab, fill the fields as necessary.

a.      If you want to create an archived version of the recipe when it's deleted, select the Archive Recipes When Deleted check box.

b.     If you want to create a new ingredient when adding an ingredient to a recipe and you enter a description that does not exist, select the Create Ingredient from Description check box.

c.      In the Standard Weight Type field, define the default weight that will be used for all weight fields unless otherwise specified.

d.     In the Default Nutritional Daily Value Country code field, select the country whose nutrient daily values will be used for the recipe nutrition calculation.

3.      On the Numbering FastTab, fill the fields as necessary.

a.      In the Recipe Nos. field, select the number series code that will be used to assign numbers to recipes.

b.     In the Ingredient Nos. field, select the number series code that will be used to assign numbers to ingredients.

4.      On the Default Values FastTab, enter the values that will default in to the fields on the Recipe and Ingredient cards.

To switch to the Business Manager Role Center

The Home page of the Business Manager is your main point of entry into BuildFood-Recipes. Here you can get an overview of the recipe activities.

1.      In the top right corner, choose the Search for Page or Report icon, enter my settings, and then choose the related link..

2.      In the My Settings window, in the Role Center field, select Recipe Manager.

3.      Choose the OK button.

4.      Sign out of BuildFood-Recipes and then sign in again to have the change take effect.
